Standard Turnaround*

If you select our standard turnaround time your document will be returned to you within 48 hours if the word count is under 10,000 words. If your word count is above 10,000 words we will confirm the return date when reviewed by a member of a team, for an exact date please feel free to contact us.

Comprehensive Service

All of our packages include the same high quality comprehensive service. We will check syntax, grammar, punctuation, presentation, and layout and recommend content improvement suggestions where relevant.

How do I place my order?

In order to place your order, please visit the ‘instant quote’ page, on this page you will be able to make a series of selections to tailor your order to your exact specifications, you will be able to select your desired turnaround time as well as uploading your document. Once you have uploaded your document you will be presented with a quote, if you are happy with your quote you can then proceed to place your order on our secure checkout page.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards through our secure PayPal payment gateway.

How much do you charge?

We offer the same high quality level of service to all of our customers, the only difference in our pricing is the turnaround time you select. As we are based in the United Kingdom all of our prices are quoted in Pound Sterling. If you are placing your order from a different country, the final price will be automatically converted into your local currency.

Why are your prices lower than other professional proofreading services?

At Proof Right we charge on average 20% less than other professional proofreading services. We are able to do this by keeping our operating costs to a bare minimum. We spend very little on advertising and instead rely on word of mouth for new business. By providing a high quality proofreading service we do not need to spend heavily on advertising, as most of our clients refer their friends and colleagues to us.

We do not claim to be the cheapest proofreading service online. However, we do believe that we offer the best value and service. There are many lower priced proofreading and editing services online, however, this usually means lower quality, in terms of the editor’s qualifications/experience and also the time allocated to reviewing your writing.

What are your preferred document file formats?

However, we are unable to edit LaTeX files directly. We therefore ask that you export or copy and paste your LaTeX text into a MS Word document or similar. You can rest assured that the editor will leave any programming commands intact. Using this method we can edit in MS Word using Track changes, and you can then simply copy and paste the text back into the LaTeX file format.

Do you accept LaTeX files?

We are unable to edit LaTeX files directly. We therefore ask that you export or copy and paste your LaTeX text into a MS Word document or similar. You can rest assured that the editor will leave any programming commands intact. Using this method we can edit in MS Word using Track changes and you can then simply copy and paste the text back into the LaTeX file format.

How will I see the changes that are made?

The proofread copy will have been edited using Microsoft track changes, the changes will be visible slightly differently depending on whether you are using Windows or a Mac. In Windows any deleted text will have a line through it and all inserted text will be underlined. Whereas with a Mac all deleted text will appear on the right hand margin and all inserted text will appear in the main body highlighted.

When will my document be returned?

Depending on which option you select, your document will be returned to you within your selected timeframe. If you select the standard turnaround time, your document will be returned to you within 48 hours, unless it is greater than 10,000 words in which case please contact us for an exact return time.

Can I request specific changes?

Yes, if you wish to request specific changes please email us with your order reference and we will take these into account, or you can input them into the ‘specific requirements’ box when you are placing your order
